Multiple diesel generator sets are started, and when the bus is de-energized, the generator set is not allowed to close the gate and supply power without synchronization. Our first start sensor module can automatically detect that the first generator set has reached the rated operating condition after multiple diesel generator sets are started at the same time, and send a signal to the system bus. At the same time, other combinations of generators are prohibited. Brake: After the first closing is successful, the rest of the generator sets and the busbar will be closed synchronously, which will reduce the parallel operation time of the system and increase the reliability of the closing.
Grounding the neutral of a high-voltage generator set
To reduce the harm caused by single-phase ground fault current to system equipment and the risk of arc fault to site personnel, the neutral point of a high-voltage diesel generator set is grounded with a small resistance. The design of the grounding resistor must take into account not only the system protection needs to ensure that the grounding protection device can operate in the case of single-phase grounding, but also to avoid damage from excessive grounding current, usually The grounding current is adjusted to 100~1000A, which is a typical value of 400A. There are several ways to ground the resistors: each unit is equipped with a resistor, a common resistor and a common small resistor for the grounding transformer through the busbar. The type of grounding method used should be determined according to the design situation.
Ventilation system
To ensure stable operation of diesel generator sets, ventilation in the engine room is very important. The engine room must provide sufficient air circulation to remove heat, smoke and exhaust gases generated by the engine, generator and its auxiliaries, as well as to supply fresh air necessary for combustion.
The cooling method of the generator set is divided into two methods: on-line cooling and remote cooling. In any case, it is necessary to ensure sufficient ventilation of the computer room to ensure that the heat generated by the generator set in the computer room is dissipated in a timely manner to avoid the normal operation of the generator set due to high temperature. The exhaust vents should be located so that the air flows from the generator side through the engine and exits them, discharging the thermal energy from surface of the engine. The key point when designing ventilation is compliance with the ventilation volume specified by the equipment. To calculate the size of the ventilation volume, the resistance generated by each part of the ventilation duct must be taken into account, and the resistance value cannot exceed the limit value specified by the equipment.
